As one of the key warm ups to Wimbledon the Tradition-ICAP Liverpool International is a must in the calendar for ATP and WTA players and 2009 was no different. We witnessed drama and excitement as up and coming stars such as Mardy Fish, Laura Robson and Michelle de Britto made the trip to Liverpool, including French Open finalist, Robin Søderling. The Legends wowing the crowds included Michael Stich, Mats Wilander and, of course, Mansour Bahrami and Ilie Nastase.
Since its inception in 2002, the Liverpool International has seen huge crowds thrilled by international stars such as Martina Navratilova, Jana Novotna ,Bjorn Borg ,Goran Ivanisevic, IvanLjubicic, Marat Safin, Pat Cash, Martina Hingis, Henri Leconte, Xavier Malisse and David Ferrer.
